Standard Mallard - COMING SOON
We offer Domestically raised and hatched Mallards. These ducklings are no different than any other domestic breed of duck in that a permit is not needed. We are required to “mark” them so as to delineate from wild Mallards. Therefore, we will remove a rear toe at hatch to follow US Fish and Wildlife regulations.
Mallards are raised for exhibition as well as for meat. They were accepted into the APA Standard in 1861 in the Bantam Duck category. Mallards are easy to care for as they are very self-reliant. They set and raise their own young well. Mallards lay in clutches primarily in spring and fall. They can lay anywhere from 40-100 eggs a year. They can fly but will usually stay where they are raised. The Mallard is a lovely addition to any pond. Both males and females mature at 2 ½ pounds.

We are currently unable to ship Mallard ducklings to FL, ND, AR or NM.

Black East Indie
Black East Indie
This is an ornamental bantam duck, much like the Call Duck. But Indies are not Calls. They are a bantam duck that is believed to have been developed in the United States in the 1800’s. The APA added the Black East Indie in 1874.
Known for its striking beetle green sheen, similar to that as seen in the Cayuga, the Indie is very popular as an exhibition duck. It should be noted, as the duck ages, they will produce white feathers. Seen more in females than males, it is a natural occurrence. These ducks weigh between 16-32 oz. and can fly. So covered pens are a must. Indies lay 40-100 dark grey eggs a year.
