Eagle Nest Appleyards
A sturdy, blocky built duck, the Appleyard is one of the best layers when it comes to the heavy weight ducks. They average 220-265 white-shelled eggs per year. Hens will set and hatch their own eggs. Appleyard meat is lean and flavorful. They’re active foragers with calm temperaments.

Mammoth White Pekin
This is a solid meat strain of duck. Long, full bodied hardy ducks, our Pekin are efficient meat producers. 7 pounds in 7 weeks is commonly obtained with our strain. If you are looking for a top meat producer, this is the choice to make for market duck production!

Production Rouen
We offer a production strain that is a smaller, more stream lined build than the Exhibition strain. They are a slower growing meat bird taking 6-8 months for drakes to reach 7 ½ pounds. The hens lay around 150 eggs a year. They are a calm, docile ducks that like to forage and are easy keepers. Males mature at 8 pounds, females at 7 pounds.
This breed will serve you well. It is a solid choice as a dual-purpose duck for your family flock.

Eagle Nest African
The African goose produces high-quality, lean meat. Ganders can weigh 16-18 lbs. by the time they are 15-18 weeks old. Males mature at 22 pounds, females at 18 pounds. African geese are not the best layers. In a normal year the goose will lay 20-40 large white eggs. However, they are a long-lived goose and will produce well into their later years.
Africans are friendly, inquisitive, and smart. They are a loud breed and do best in a moderate climate. This fast-growing breed is ideal for a beginner goose owner looking for a long-term food producer.

Eagle Nest Embden
Embden are an all-white goose with orange feet, shanks, and bill. Their eyes are a notable shade of blue. They lay an extra-large white egg at the rate of 35-45 per year. They are good setters and good mothers. but males can be aggressive when protecting a sitting goose. They are active foragers and are generally a hardy, long living breed.

Eagle Nest Toulouse
This is a faster growing bird who has an excellent feed conversion ratio. This version matures in weight around 18-20 pounds. The goose will lay 25–40 extra-large, white eggs each year. These birds do well in confinement and are generally prized for use in meat production, goose fat, and foie gras due to their ability to rapidly convert feed. They are a good barn yard bird on the homestead, as well. This is a cold weather tolerant bird which makes it ideal for living in the upper Midwest. **Listed on the 2025 Livestock Conservancy list as Watch.
